From the very Start of the Coronavirus Pandemic,  one of the first things that I noticed was how much more I was washing my hands.  Our family business is considered essential, as long as our customers and the port are in operation so are week.  Cargo has to keep moving.  

But one of the first things I did was make sure that I brought all the foaming hand soap that I have into work,  ordered refills.  While I personally love the RESISTANCE because of the essential oils (Clove, Lemon, Cinnamon, Rosemary and Eucalyptus) I made sure that those were filled.   But with all things,  my Sister and Niece both wanted something else so now they have Lemon.  

STRESS -  is something that we have all felt building up during this Coronavirus pandemic.  STRESS does bring on skin care issues.

We've all learned the proper hand washing techniques - but many (especially the men) overlook the next steep.  Keeping your skin moisturized to prevent cracking which in turn could make you more susceptible to infection.

January is National Oatmeal Month!

There seems to be a day,  week or month for almost anything!   But when I saw that they donated an entire month to Oatmeal,  I was surprised.

I know that many people eat Oatmeal for breakfast,  especially on these COLD WINTER days.  Then you have those that have made their January resolutions for "eating healthier"  which includes  adding OATMEAL to their routine.

  I came across the picture and all I could think about was the pain and discomfort that these heels are causing some person.   I understand the discomfort,  as my feet used to do this every winter when I lived and Pennsylvania.    The regrettably they still did it in the Houston Winters,  just not as long every year.

Vacations . . . .

I love getting away with my husband.  The week before we left meant extra hours at work getting everything lined up  to bring everyone in the office up to speed on what I was working on,  and what might be happening during the week that I'm gone.  Then there is getting everything packed and ready.  So I'm happy for a 14 hour drive,  as it gives me a chance to wind down.

Our annual trip is to New Mexico,  but we went to a different part this time,  and we spent 8 days in SUN, WIND, and what seemed to be a constant DUST DEVIL!    None of which are good for the skin.  Had several friends from home with us at this event and all were commenting about how well I was looking, given the extreme problems that everyone was having.  Jordan Essentials was the answer I promised to share my secrets on my blog when I got back.

Morning:

The Lotion Bar

One of the first products that I ever used from our company was the Lotion Bar.

This is our signature product, the hand lotion bar. The Lotion Bar contains an array of wonderful oils blended into a beeswax base that promotes soft, healthy skin. Beeswax is a naturally occurring product containing emollient properties. We use pure coconut oil, free from chemicals, to give the Lotion Bar a creamy texture. The Apricot Oil in our Bar is rich in essential fatty acids: oleic and linoleic. Apricot Oil is known for it’s ability to penetrate deeply into the skin to moisturize, and revitalize.

Open the can, apply it all over your hands and then rub in like regular lotion. It will soak in and form a barrier to keep your natural moisture in and keep out the things that dry your hands: paper, water, cleaning products, chemicals, etc.

It is also wonderful on the soles and heels of your feet and on your elbows. And, it is a great conditioner for your cuticles.
