Coronavirus Related Skin Care remedies

From the very Start of the Coronavirus Pandemic,  one of the first things that I noticed was how much more I was washing my hands.  Our family business is considered essential, as long as our customers and the port are in operation so are week.  Cargo has to keep moving.

But one of the first things I did was make sure that I brought all the foaming hand soap that I have into work,  ordered refills.  While I personally love the RESISTANCE because of the essential oils (Clove, Lemon, Cinnamon, Rosemary and Eucalyptus) I made sure that those were filled.   But with all things,  my Sister and Niece both wanted something else so now they have Lemon.

STRESS -  is something that we have all felt building up during this Coronavirus pandemic.  STRESS does bring on skin care issues.

We've all learned the proper hand washing techniques - but many (especially the men) overlook the next steep.  Keeping your skin moisturized to prevent cracking which in turn could make you more susceptible to infection.

As the skin becomes drier from the increased hand washing,  it can become irritated, which can lead to itching, redness, cracking and tenderness.  Then your skin's protective barrier isn't so protective any more.   I love the Jordan Essentials Lotions,  but I love the extra moisture protection of the Lotion Bar  (it's what got be started with Jordan Essentials)

Changing your Life with a bottle of Lotion!

Believe it or not I was never a lotion person,  until I started aging.   To me it's like a couple of minutes of RELAXATION!     After reading this article in a magazine,  I understand a little more about this few moments daily.

"This little exercise can take as little- or as much- time as you wish to spend and is based on the life changing impact just 5 minutes of concerted self-care per day can -and will -have. All that is required is a small bottle of high-quality lotion that represents something special to you and a bit of lip balm. Not bad!"

Lotion in Motion - Beauty . . . More than Skin Deep

I love to learn,  but sometimes catching up on all my reading is hard,  but I moved this article form Kalon Women Magazine to the top of my list . . .

The simplest way to arm yourself with these new skin/Alzheimer’s/Dementia findings: MOISTURIZE YOUR SKIN DAILY. Use high quality, preferably all-natural body creams and lotions and take a moment after each bath or shower to slather some on. It’s really that simple.
These latest studies are revealing that maintaining basic hydration goes a very long way in knocking out the systemic inflammatory processes connected to the development of Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia, as well as the other inflammation-related diseases I mentioned earlier in this article.
Some of the latest studies detail that using only 3 milliliters of lotion- twice per day- significantly lowered the cytokines circulating in study participants. That’s 0.101442 ounces of lotion… 0.202884 Tablespoons.

Thursday Testimony: More than one Use

Thursday Testimony

Usually in the morning I put my lotion on I sometimes use my favorite  scent "Sweet Cucumber Melon"  but now that my favorite fall scent is here "Cranberry Amber Spice"  I switch off between the two.

If you're in Texas you know that Houston has been catching up on our rain fall,  and with that comes the mosquito's.  Mosquito's that seem to sense the moment I walk out of the office and into the warehouse at work.    They must have mosquito ESP.    I hate your standard "bug repellents",  if I can get past the smell I absolutely hate putting all those chemicals on my skin.

So this morning I opted for the "Lemongrass Lotion".   I've been using the "Lemongrass Spritzer"  when hubby and I are doing outside activities and it's worked great. . . but was out in the car . . . so I grabbed by Lemongrass Lotion and applied it this morning and now I'm ready to do battle with these little  evil mosquito's.   I first tried it after I found out from the Jordan Essentials home office in one of our trainings that Lemongrass is a "NATURAL" bug repellent.

On a side note, as I'm typing this my  hubby  came into my office with the "Lemongrass Spritzer"  (from the car) and wanted to be spritzed down as "those blood suckers are terrible this morning".

Hmmm I just might need to add "Lemongrass" to my favorite scents!   What can be better than moisturizing and protecting yourself from those little flying critters
