Do you do meetings on Zoom? If so, Mineral Makeup is the Magical tool in your toolbox!

The Skin Nerd: Mineral make up is magical and ideal to look good on Zoom calls

So many of my meetings have been ZOOM meetings,  and I quickly realized what it is to see myself looking back at me.  Going without a little bit of mineral makeup can be scary!   So I thought I would share this great article with you.
As many of us embrace a fully makeup-free lifestyle, there are just as many craving advice on how to look good on Zoom, Hangouts, WebEx and Teams in as short a time as possible.

As many of us embrace a fully makeup-free lifestyle, there are just as many craving advice on how to look good on Zoom, Hangouts, WebEx and Teams in as short a time as possible. I’m by no means a makeup artist but I can turn out a look if needs require it – I did train in it some time ago – and when it comes to makeup, in my mind, mineral makeup is the ideal.

When we think mineral makeup, it is easy to assume that it's only the typical heavier powders of yonder year and that alone, settling in fine lines and providing as much coverage as if one had taken a quick glance at the foundation rather than applied it. I’m delighted to say that we have more choice of mineral than ever before, and it greatly stands up to its non-mineral counterparts.

The benefits of true (as in pure) mineral makeup are many: it’s naturally antioxidant, tends to be in non-pore-clogging formulations, it’s less irritating to the skin, it gives you additional SPF benefits and it doesn’t dehydrate the skin as some non-mineral products can (unless it contains talc – technically a mineral, but best avoided).

A Summer Guide to Softer Feet in 3 Steps

Warmer weather means it's time to breakout the cute sandals and flip flops,  but are your feet summer ready?   Here are three easy steps to get your softest feet yet!

The first step to softer skin is removing the dead skin.  The best time to do this is after your feet have soaked in warm water.  This can be after a shower or bath,  or you can mix up a nice foot soak.  We like to use our  Magnesium Dead Sea Salts  in a foot soak for an added foot pamper as the Magnesium will help with aches and pains after a long day!

TIP:  Add 2-3 tablespoons of Magnesium Dead Sea Salt to a foot basin of water completely dissolve.  Soak 10-15 Minutes in warm  or cool water because hot water will damage skin and dry it out more quickly

After your feet have soaked,  grab your Jordan Essentials Salt Scrub and exfoliate away!  The salt is not only exfolating but therapeutic as well!

TIP:  For some extra exfoliation on tough spots like calluses, use a pumice stone

After your feet have soaked and been exfoliated,  it's time to moisturize!

For an easy and quick application, grab your PeppermintPedistick.  This is the perfect item to have for some on-the-go moisturizing.  Think lotion bar in a convenient stick.

The Beeswax, Coconut Oil, Safflower Seed Oil, Caster Oil, Apricot Kernel Oil and Peppermint Essential Oil all work together to leave your feet feeling soft and moisturized.

SheaButter will also work wonders at moisturizing skin!  to learn more about the great benefits and many uses of  Shea Butter,  please message me for more information at  Catherine@CathyJELady.com

For added hydration,  throw on a pair of cozy socks after using your Peppermint Pedistick or Shea Butter to keep the moisture locked in.  Wear them all night, and you will wake up with the softest feet yet!

What a SIMPLE and EASY way to help get your feet ready for your sandals and flip flops.

One of my personal favorites, it doing a magnesium foot wrap,  feels so relaxing after a long day on my feet.   Get to plastic bags (one for each foot)  squirt in some Peppermint Magnesium Lotion,  slip a foot into each bag,  put my socks on and just kick back for about 15 or 20 minutes,  then remove your socks and bags,  rub in the extra lotion.  You'll be truly amazed.
