Make your own "Natural" Fabric Softener

I'm in the process of trying to remove "chemicals" from our day to day life at home and just loved this wonderful idea about making our own fabric softener,  using Lavender Essential oil.

There are so many ways to use Jordan Essentials Llavender Essential Oil!! Did you know you could use your Lavender Oil to make a natural laundry softener? Here's how:

Fill a quart-size glass canning jar with white vinegar and add about 20-25 drops of Jordan Essentials Lavender Oil, use a teaspoon of rubbing alcohol (for emulsion), then put on the lid, shake it up and done!! Use about a half cup in your fabric softener receptacle of your washing machine...it's good for your clothes, skin, machine and very inexpensive!

Love ideas for this! As a personal trainer and fitness instructor, I do a LOT of laundry and having it smell good (at least for a little while) is a must. Thank you!

This is an AMAZING idea. I also saw one recently that calls for using sponges instead of dryer sheets. You soak 4 or 5 sponges in a container of fabric softener and then throw one in each time you dry your clothes. When it comes out dry, put it back in the container and take out a wet one for your next load. I think that I am going to combine the two! I love the scent of lavender, so this is perfect for me. AND if I can find purple sponges, I will be able to color coordinate. Please let me know if you find a way to make lavender scented laundry soap!

Traci, I know several of our Jordan Essentials Representatives were sharing a receipe for home made laundry soap. Let me find it, and I'll share it in a future post!
