Thursday Testimony: Acid Reflux Help

Over the years I've had bouts with Acid Reflux,  I've noticed that when I exercise that the problem seems to fix itself,  However we've been so busy at work that I find myself working 11 and 12 hours days.  Plus the things that need to be done when I get home.  So exercise has been missing from my routine,  I know I have to get back to it.    Well for over a week,  come about midnight or so,  I would wake up with some horrible acid reflux.

Last Saturday,  I guess I moved the wrong way,  and all of a sudden there was back pain,  so I thought I would give our new Peppermint Magnesium Lotion on the painful area.   However since I had the lotion out and using it I remembered that Peppermint is great for helping with digestion.  So I've been rubbing some on my stomach before going to bed.   Well I've had no more midnight wake up calls with Acid Reflux!

Fact Friday: Topical Magnesium

JOrdAN ESSENTIALS   earlier this month launched our new Magnesium Line,  Nancy Bogart,  CEO was on a mission to help her husband who is an avid marathon runner deal with some health issues due to low  Magnesium.   Use of our Magnesium Lotion and Dead Sea Salts had him back on track and approved by his doctor to run his next Marathon.    So I decided to do a little research myself and am LOVING all the information that I'm finding.   Check out this tidbit from the  "Ancient Mineral's"  Website

Topical Magnesium: How It Works

Topical magnesium, a method of delivering minerals to the body through the skin, may seem at first mysterious and new, but it’s based on both age-old principles and cutting edge science.
Have you ever used a patch to help you quit smoking, or to alleviate pain? What about Ben Gay? Or how about that expensive skin creme you bought to help give your skin a healthy glow?
If you’ve used or are familiar with any of these products, then you are familiar with the basic concepts behind topical applications of magnesium.
WHY USE TOPICAL MAGNESIUM OIL WHEN THERE IS MAGNESIUM IN FOOD?
Though it’s possible and preferable to get magnesium from a variety of sources, studies show that most Americans have magnesium deficient diets, with one in five getting less than half the RDA for magnesium in their daily diets.9
Oral supplementation, on the other hand, is affected by numerous things in your gut – no matter what type of oral magnesium you use.  Because all magnesium taken orally is potentially laxative, the ability to absorb magnesium through the GI tract is limited by shortened transit time.
Oral magnesium can be inconvenient as well, due to the amount needed for adequate dosage. Adequate magnesium is typically not added to multi-vitamins in an attempt to reduce the size and dosage, and magnesium supplements themselves can be large.
Considering these difficulties and the numerous factors that may negatively impact oral magnesium absorption in the GI tract, topical magnesium shows clear benefits.

Thursday Testimony: Magnesium Baths safer for Pregnancy

Cassie  Hatcher
So I've been very careful with which products to use during my pregnancy so far and I was unsure about the magnesium products but I SOOO wanted to use them! So I researched. You have got to read this! I'm taking magnesium baths daily now. So if you need me I'll be busy soaking

The evidence is clear that inadequate magnesium intake is common
during pregnancy and that the plasma levels of magnesium tend to fall,
especially during the first and third trimesters of pregnancy.                         - Dr. Mildred S.Seelig

When we launched our NEW Magnesium products earlier this month,  I to did some research,  and even downloaded a book  "Transdermal Magnesium Therapy"  to learn more.    But I went to the link above and loved the wonderful information that it shared.

It's been reported that 55% of the U. S. Population is below the  Recommended Daily Allowance (RDA) of Magnesium,  and another 20% are Significantly below RDA.  While only 25% are at or above RDA.

In additional to helping our mom's to be,  Symptoms of poor magnesium intake can include
  • muscle cramps
  • facial tics
  • poor sleep
  • chronic pain
Jordan Essentials offers an unscented  Magnesium Dead Sea Salt Soak in both 8 oz  and 32 oz sizes.   We also offer a Magnesium Lotion  in your choice of unscented or peppermint.   If you would like additional information on these products,  please feel free to contact me today.

Tuesday: Acne Face Care from Jordan Essentials

ACNE FACE CARE STEPS

Minor Acne:
1)      Complexion Bar: Daily or Twice Daily—Leave Bar in package but do NOT let water sit in package.  Wet Facial Brush and shake off excess water.  Rub Facial Brush on top of Bar a few swirls.  Cleanse Face well.  Rinse.  (I put mine on a suction cup holder on the back of the shower up high so the water doesn’t hit it.  The Complexion Bar will last a long time this way!
2)      Toner Mist: Daily after each cleansing—Pat face gently dry, and spritz face with Toner Mist.  You may get the whole face with one spray, sometimes it requires two pumps.  Purse lips together and close your eyes before spraying.  Toner Mist contains Witch Hazel which naturally kills skin bacteria.
3)      Acne Treatment Gel: Can use as a spot treatment up to 2 x’s/day—Acne Treatment Gel uses all natural Salicylic Acid to combat acne naturally, with no harmful ingredients or anything to “dry” the skin.  Heals damaged pores and soothes irritated clogged pores.  ONLY NEED A VERY SMALL AMOUNT OF THIS….A LITTLE GOES A LONG WAY!!!!

Moderate Acne:
Steps 1-3 Above
4)      Detoxifying Clay Mask: Once/week for a Full Face Mask (10-15 min.), or as a nightly spot treatment (all night long)--  This Mask, which contains all natural Bentonite Clay, Detoxify, Deep Cleans, and Pull Pollutants from your skin.  Use once/week as a Full Face Mask to pull out toxins/bacteria to keep skin from breaking out.  Or use a thin layer as a spot treatment after Cleansing/Toner Mist all night long and rinse or cleanse in the morning for harder to treat acne spots.
5)      Acne Treatment Moisturizer with Natural Willow Bark Extract: Use Daily or as needed—Oily, Acne prone skin needs a little help and Willow Bark Extract is another Natural Source of Salicylic Acid to fight bacteria, reduce inflammation and soothe skin.

Severe Acne:
Steps 1-5 Above, but this would be step 2).
2)      Spa Polish: 2-3x’s/week--  Spa Polish is an exfoliant to rid the skin of dead skin cells and clean clogged pores.  The cracked walnut shells have a natural antibacterial property to them that will kill skin bacteria.  Works great for Oily Skin or  in the T-zone (forehead, nose, and chin) areas to help reduce extra oil.   Do not overexfoliate  (scrub too hard) if you have Rosacea.  You want to keep the skin calm.
6)      Tea Tree Essential Oil: Daily add in to the Toner Mist or Moisturizer to Combat Acne at the highest level.  Begin with 12-16 drops of Tea Tree Oil in the Toner Mist, or 10-15 in the Moisturizer and mix well before each use by shaking Toner Mist bottle or tapping Moisturizer on the palm of the hand several times.

Please do not hesitate to contact me with questions!  I am passionate about Skin Care having fought this battle myself, and I am here to help you get the most out of your products!  Remember, our products are Botanically-Based and FREE of DEA, Parabens, Mineral Oil, Isopropyl Alcohol, Talc, and Aluminum, so a little goes a long way.  Don’t overuse!
