4 Steps to your Best Lashes Yet!

4 Steps To Your Best Lashes Yet!

Everyone woman wants thick and beautiful lashes, but every woman also wants healthy, natural mascara. You're in luck! Here at Jordan Essentials, you can have your cake and eat it too!

Let’s be honest, glueing fake eyelashes on is not always the simplest or easiest task, and some mascaras contain ingredients you would not put so close to your eyes if you realized. What if we told you that you can get those voluminous and full lashes without applying a drop of glue or risking your eyes coming in contact with unhealthy ingredients? Here is our 4 step routine for getting your fullest lashes yet using our natural Jordan Essentials mascaras.

#1 Curl

The first step to fuller and longer lashes is mastering the curl.

If you don’t already have one, snag yourself an eyelash curler because adding a slight curl to your lashes can make ALL the difference!

Pro Tip: Blast your curler with the heat from your hair dryer for 3 seconds before curling to enhance the curl and extend its life.

#2 Prime

Priming is important before applying foundation or painting walls, so why wouldn’t it be important before swiping on your mascara? Priming can help thicken lashes as well keep that mascara in place all day long.

One of our very own Jordies, Kara Larson, shared this tip on how she primes before applying mascara!

“Use the Eye Fix Primer on your lashes first! I shared this tip at JV last year and it really helps your mascara to stick and stay all day long, PLUS it elongates your lashes and fans them out. BEST TIP for lashes to look longer and fuller, plus helps makeup to stick and stay.”

Apply Eye Fix to lashes with your finger by swiping on primer in an upward motion from the base of lashes to the tips! Kara says this helps fan out and elongate lashes!

Well, there you have it! Simple solution to smudging mascara and sparse lashes - prime with Jordan Essentials Eye Fix Primer!

#3 Apply Mascara

Now onto the application, but first, here’s a quick breakdown of the two Jordan Essentials options:

Flawless Mascara thickens lashes and adds volume while the Amplified Mascara will lengthen lashes with a wet gloss finish. For optimal results, incorporate both the Amplified and Flawless mascara into your routine!

First, you’re going to add a coat of your Flawless mascara to thicken lashes. Start at the base of eyelashes and wiggle to separate lashes as you swipe up. Next, add a coat of your Amplified mascara (before your first coat dries) using the same technique!

Pro Tip: Never pump the wand in and out of mascara because it will cause it to dry out quicker.

#4 Bottom Lashes

Last but not least, don’t forget to give those lashes on the bottom some love too!

There is one last tip we wanted to share with you so you can have your most gorgeous lashes yet. Add a couple drops of Lavender EO into your mascara to help boost lash growth!

Say goodbye to false lashes because you are now equipped with all the tips you need for gorgeous lashes with your natural Jordan Essentials mineral makeup. Remember for best practices, replace your mascara every 2-4 months!

Do you do meetings on Zoom? If so, Mineral Makeup is the Magical tool in your toolbox!

The Skin Nerd: Mineral make up is magical and ideal to look good on Zoom calls

So many of my meetings have been ZOOM meetings,  and I quickly realized what it is to see myself looking back at me.  Going without a little bit of mineral makeup can be scary!   So I thought I would share this great article with you.
As many of us embrace a fully makeup-free lifestyle, there are just as many craving advice on how to look good on Zoom, Hangouts, WebEx and Teams in as short a time as possible.

As many of us embrace a fully makeup-free lifestyle, there are just as many craving advice on how to look good on Zoom, Hangouts, WebEx and Teams in as short a time as possible. I’m by no means a makeup artist but I can turn out a look if needs require it – I did train in it some time ago – and when it comes to makeup, in my mind, mineral makeup is the ideal.

When we think mineral makeup, it is easy to assume that it's only the typical heavier powders of yonder year and that alone, settling in fine lines and providing as much coverage as if one had taken a quick glance at the foundation rather than applied it. I’m delighted to say that we have more choice of mineral than ever before, and it greatly stands up to its non-mineral counterparts.

The benefits of true (as in pure) mineral makeup are many: it’s naturally antioxidant, tends to be in non-pore-clogging formulations, it’s less irritating to the skin, it gives you additional SPF benefits and it doesn’t dehydrate the skin as some non-mineral products can (unless it contains talc – technically a mineral, but best avoided).

A Summer Guide to Softer Feet in 3 Steps

Warmer weather means it's time to breakout the cute sandals and flip flops,  but are your feet summer ready?   Here are three easy steps to get your softest feet yet!

The first step to softer skin is removing the dead skin.  The best time to do this is after your feet have soaked in warm water.  This can be after a shower or bath,  or you can mix up a nice foot soak.  We like to use our  Magnesium Dead Sea Salts  in a foot soak for an added foot pamper as the Magnesium will help with aches and pains after a long day!

TIP:  Add 2-3 tablespoons of Magnesium Dead Sea Salt to a foot basin of water completely dissolve.  Soak 10-15 Minutes in warm  or cool water because hot water will damage skin and dry it out more quickly

After your feet have soaked,  grab your Jordan Essentials Salt Scrub and exfoliate away!  The salt is not only exfolating but therapeutic as well!

TIP:  For some extra exfoliation on tough spots like calluses, use a pumice stone

After your feet have soaked and been exfoliated,  it's time to moisturize!

For an easy and quick application, grab your PeppermintPedistick.  This is the perfect item to have for some on-the-go moisturizing.  Think lotion bar in a convenient stick.

The Beeswax, Coconut Oil, Safflower Seed Oil, Caster Oil, Apricot Kernel Oil and Peppermint Essential Oil all work together to leave your feet feeling soft and moisturized.

SheaButter will also work wonders at moisturizing skin!  to learn more about the great benefits and many uses of  Shea Butter,  please message me for more information at  Catherine@CathyJELady.com

For added hydration,  throw on a pair of cozy socks after using your Peppermint Pedistick or Shea Butter to keep the moisture locked in.  Wear them all night, and you will wake up with the softest feet yet!

What a SIMPLE and EASY way to help get your feet ready for your sandals and flip flops.

One of my personal favorites, it doing a magnesium foot wrap,  feels so relaxing after a long day on my feet.   Get to plastic bags (one for each foot)  squirt in some Peppermint Magnesium Lotion,  slip a foot into each bag,  put my socks on and just kick back for about 15 or 20 minutes,  then remove your socks and bags,  rub in the extra lotion.  You'll be truly amazed.

Coronavirus Related Skin Care remedies

From the very Start of the Coronavirus Pandemic,  one of the first things that I noticed was how much more I was washing my hands.  Our family business is considered essential, as long as our customers and the port are in operation so are week.  Cargo has to keep moving.

But one of the first things I did was make sure that I brought all the foaming hand soap that I have into work,  ordered refills.  While I personally love the RESISTANCE because of the essential oils (Clove, Lemon, Cinnamon, Rosemary and Eucalyptus) I made sure that those were filled.   But with all things,  my Sister and Niece both wanted something else so now they have Lemon.

STRESS -  is something that we have all felt building up during this Coronavirus pandemic.  STRESS does bring on skin care issues.

We've all learned the proper hand washing techniques - but many (especially the men) overlook the next steep.  Keeping your skin moisturized to prevent cracking which in turn could make you more susceptible to infection.

As the skin becomes drier from the increased hand washing,  it can become irritated, which can lead to itching, redness, cracking and tenderness.  Then your skin's protective barrier isn't so protective any more.   I love the Jordan Essentials Lotions,  but I love the extra moisture protection of the Lotion Bar  (it's what got be started with Jordan Essentials)
